About

Tony Myers II is a percussion specialist, born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. At the young age of 2, he began taking lessons with, Indianapolis-based drummer and drum-maker, Tony Artis. From his time studying at Ben Davis High School to University of Indianapolis and beyond, his goal has always been to learn a plethora of styles of music to be more versatile in this ever changing musical world. Tony has had the great opportunity of learning from and playing with with many musicians and music educators from all over the country including Ron Carter, Steve Allee, Benny Golson, Gayelynn McKinney, Freddie Mendoza, Butch Miles, Matt Pivec, and Andre Rosa-Artis, amongst many others. He is currently the Percussion Director at Pike High School and also the Ensemble Director of Alliance Indoor Percussion based in Lizton, Indiana. 

He lives in Indianapolis with his son, Wesley, and doggo, Sully.
